As a senior-level professional, with 25+ years of higher education experience, has knowledge of university operations, management, and leadership expertise along with considerable abilities in cross-functional collaboration, grounded problem solving, and focused execution.
As Chief of Staff and Associate Vice Chancellor, Jason oversees operational initiatives for the CAO divisions, supporting the chief administrative officer in developing and implementing innovative solutions to resolve institutional challenges and support strategic directives. He serves as an internal consultant who understands complex systems, the needs of the institution and can design and deliver practical business solutions that maximize impact and effectiveness.
His knowledge, skills, and abilities have developed through a varied and challenging career in higher education to include progressive roles in Finance, Technology, and HR. Through these experiences, he possesses not only a broad working knowledge of shared service functions, but also the business of a university. He holds a BA in Accounting and MS in Tax Law.
Prior to Washington University, Jason spent more than 25 years at Tulane University where he started as an Assistant Vice President for Human Resources and later being appointed Senior Assistant Vice President.
He also serves as Chairman of the Board for the Tulane Loyola Federal Credit Union. When not working, you will find him appreciating the outdoors.
